Advancing Sumter to host two-day leadership training

  The Advancing Sumter Community Leadership Development Program will host a 2-day leadership workshop in Americus. The Saturday sessions will be held on March 23rd and March 30th from 9 am to 5 pm at the Georgia Southwestern State University Student Success Center.

  The certificated two-day program uses the University of Georgia's Fanning Institute for Leadership Development curriculum.  Topics include:  Understanding Community Leadership, Effective Communication, Group Dynamics, Managing Conflict, Conducting Successful Meetings, Group Problem-Solving and Decision Making, Valuing Community Diversity, and Building Communities through Partnerships and Collaboration.

  Successful participants must attend on both days. Upon completion, individuals will receive a University of Georgia Fanning Institute "Certificate of Completion."   The fee for the program is $50 due on March 23rd.
