Lavitrius Clark of Cordele, has joined the South Georgia Technical College Crisp County Center as an Electronics Technology adjunct instructor effective immediately, announced South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford. He will report to SGTC Dean of Enrollment Management Julie Partain.
Clark is a 2004 graduate of Albany State University with a Bachelor in Business Administration and Management. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics Management at Albany State University. He is also a graduate of South Georgia Technical College’s Industrial Electrical Technology and Electronics Technology programs. He earned his Bachelor’s at Albany State before enrolling at South Georgia Tech and SGTC gave him the foundation for the career he enjoys now.
He is currently employed as an Electronics Mechanic Work Leader at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany. He has been with them since 2008. He began his career at the Marine Corps Logistics Base as an Electrical Equipment Repairer and then was promoted to Electronics Mechanic, and was named as a Hazardous Materials Coordinator.
He also works part-time as a residential electrician with Smith Electrical. Prior to joining Smith Electrical and the Marine Corps Logistics base, Clark worked for Proctor & Gamble Paper Products, Harris Waste Management in Cordele, and Pilot Travel Centers.
“We are pleased that Lavitrius Clark has joined our Crisp County Center campus as an adjunct electronics instructor,” said South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford. “He brings a wealth of practical experience from business and industry and will be a great asset to our students.”
Clark will be teaching electronics courses on the Crisp County Center and will assist students with career placement by collaborating with business partners to identify workplace needs. He will also assist with developing program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives and evaluate students’ progress.
South Georgia Technical College is currently accepting students for a Fall Semester mini-mester. Students attend classes for eight weeks and earn 16-weeks of credit. The Fall mini-mester classes will begin October 7th, but students can apply now.
