The Cordele Crisp Community League presented a scholarship to South Georgia Technical College Crisp County Center’s Criminal Justice Technology student Marissa Harrell of Cordele recently.
The Community League scholarship was designed to assist students at South Georgia Technical College with their educational expenses. Students must have completed 50% of the coursework in the program of study in which they are currently enrolled in order to qualify for the scholarship. They must also submit three recommendations with their application. One recommendation must be from a program instructor, and the other two recommendations may be from additional instructors, staff members, or employers.
Clair Miller, Cordele Crisp Community League representative, presented the scholarship to Harrell recently with SGTC Dean of Enrollment Management Julie Partain and Crisp County Center Criminal Justice Instructor Wanda Bishop present to thank the Cordele Crisp Community League for their scholarship and to congratulate Harrell.
For more information or to apply for the Community League Scholarship at South Georgia Technical College, students may obtain an application from an instructor or at the reception desk at SGTC Crisp County Center.
A committee of the Community League determines the winners of the scholarships based on the applications submitted by the students and on their letters of recommendations.
