Alyssa Nieves went off Wednesday night.

She scorched the nets for 41 points making 11 three point shots.

Both of those numbers are program records.

The Lady Jets took down Andrew College on the road 109-67.

From the tip it was clear that Nieves was going to have a night, and her teammates did everything they could to make sure of it.

“From the floor and even to the bench I just felt positive energy," said Nieves.

"They were very encouraging very supportive. there was a goal they wanted me to get to and everybody was on board so it felt good to have everybody rooting for me.”

“When she makes those first two or three, we’re going to keep calling her number,” said head coach James Frey. “We ran 4 or 5 different things for her and they just kept falling.”

Nieves said it was the best night of her collegiate career.

The Lady Jets are at home Saturday against Georgia Highlands, a win and they will host the region tournament.Taking Off: Lady Jets guard breaks pair of records in one night
