Fifteen South Georgia Technical College Practical Nursing graduates at the SGTC Crisp County Center campus participated in a special pinning ceremony held recently in the auditorium of the Crisp County Center campus.

The graduates included: Todd Barnette of Cordele; Kania S. Byron of Cordele; Sharletha C. Daniels of Eastman; Candis Samone Davis of Unadilla; Demetria Ann Freeman of Montezuma; Lawanda Monique Harper of Albany; Laura Alexander Lee of Warner Robins; Lacey Chaye Lummus of Rochelle; Iris Moore of Warner Robins; Searra Morehead of Rochelle; Emily Jordan Murphy of Cordele; Ladarius Kevon Smith of Cordele; Regina Stewart of Elko; Tyechia Tullis of Buena Vista; and Pamela Westbrook-Ray of Cordele.

SGTC Dean of Enrollment Management Julie Partain delivered a message of welcome and LPN graduate Todd Barnette offered the invocation. Practical Nursing instructor Brandy Nipper followed with an introduction of keynote speaker Dr. Alicia Register of Crisp Regional Hospital.

Nipper then presented the graduates and shared a video. Graduates then received their pins from Nipper and Partain. Some graduates were pinned by nurses who have meant something special to them in their lives. After the pinning, The Gideons presented each graduate with a bible.

The ceremonial lighting of the candles and the recitation of the Nurses’ Pledge by the graduates then led into closing remarks from Nipper.

The LPN program at South Georgia Technical College is one of over 200 programs SGTC offers leading to a degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit. Learn more about all of the programs and apply for enrollment at www.southgatech.edu.
