Patrick Peacock hired as Marketing Specialist at South Georgia Technical College

   Patrick Peacock of Americus has been hired as the Marketing Specialist at South Georgia Technical College and will be assisting in planning and organizing the marketing and fundraising activities of the college,” announced South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford. He will report to Su Ann Bird, Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the South Georgia Technical College Foundation.

   “We are very pleased that Patrick Peacock has joined the South Georgia Technical College marketing department,” said President Dr. John Watford. “The Institutional Advancement office or the foundation and marketing department at South Georgia Tech provides a very valuable service supporting and providing information about the college and its operations. Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge in video production, photography, and website/graphic design. We are fortunate to have him join our staff and I look forward to seeing his creativity.”

   Peacock is a native of Americus and graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. He has been employed as the Creative Services Manager at OnMedia in Albany since 2003 but has over 30 years of experience writing, shooting, and editing commercials, creating promotional materials, and other video pieces and productions.

   He has also just recently written and directed a feature-length romantic comedy/drama movie titled “Back Focus.” The movie debuted in the Rylander earlier this year and will have an encore screening at Georgia Southwestern State University at Jackson Hall.

   As the Marketing Specialist at South Georgia Technical College, Peacock will be a member of the Marketing team and will support the implementation and management of marketing strategies college-wide and assist with the conception, execution and evaluation of the college’s marketing and fundraising campaigns. He will have duties associated with writing news releases, graphic design, social media, video production and editing, and website posts at South Georgia Tech.

   Patrick is married to Wendy Joyner Peacock and he has a daughter, Emily Peacock, who attends Americus-Sumter High School.
