SGTC Career Services Prepares Students for Job Interviews

Posted on

South Georgia Technical College Career Services recently conducted mock interviews with sixteen students in the college’s Electrical Lineworker Apprentice program.  A mock interview helps the student learn how to answer different questions, develop interview strategies, improve communication skills, and reduce the stress before an actual job interview.

Cynthia Carter, Career Services Director indicated most of the students know what type of position, career field, or industry they are interested in, so job-specific interview questions were asked.  The students brought their resume and took the time answering questions.  They received feedback on their job-specific interview skills.

Sandhya Muljibhai, WIOA Coordinator, and Josh Curtin, Associate VP of Student Affairs, assisted with the mock interviews.
