The Nail Tech program at South Georgia Technical College recently participated in a rewarding volunteer initiative at Magnolia Manor in Americus. At the invitation of Billie Jo Etheridge, Retirement Center Activities Director, instructor Jessakeetha Maddox and her students had the opportunity to provide nail care services to the residents.
Following the event, Ms. Etheridge expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the students' visit and commended them for the positive impact they made on the residents' lives. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the pampering experience and eagerly inquired about when they could expect the students to return for another visit.
At South Georgia Technical College, the Nail Tech program is just one of over 200 programs offered, providing students with opportunities to pursue associate degrees, diplomas, or technical certificates of credit. Apply now for summer semester at www.southgatech.edu. Registration is April 23.
