SGTC NTHS State Officer Travels to North Carolina to visit NTHS’s Headquarters
South Georgia Technical College’s National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) State Officer Christian Powell and SGTC NTHS Advisor Raven Payne recently traveled to Flat Rock, North Carolina to visit the NTHS Headquarters. Other State NTHS officers from Columbus Technical College and West Georgia Technical College as well as a State Advisor from West Georgia Tech also traveled to the NTHS headquarters.
Powell who is a Computer Information Systems major on the South Georgia Technical College Crisp County Center campus was selected to serve as the Reporter for the state NTHS organization. Powell and the other student had the opportunity to meet one of the founders of the organization, C. Allen Powell, while they were at the NTHS headquarters. The officers were able to share different thoughts and ideas for promoting the benefits of NTHS and encouraging participation and engagement within the officer’s respective chapters.
NTHS Founder Powell applauded the officers for their commitment to academic achievement and asked that the officers focus on creating momentum in all the colleges under the Technical Colleges System of Georgia and local high schools.
