SGTC Offers Job Interview Workshop for ELA Program

Posted on

South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) recently hosted mock Interviews for the 13 students enrolled in the college’s Electrical Lineworker Apprenticeship Program. The SGTC mock interview team consisted of Al Harris, Economic Development; Sandy Larson, Human Resources Director; and Cynthia Carter, Career Services Director.

The electrical lineworker program enables graduates to obtain the skills and knowledge they need in just eight weeks. Students benefit from both hands-on and classroom learning in a setting that promotes one-on-one interactions and accessible study.

“The nationwide career outlook for electrical line workers is on the rise due to increasing reliance on power usage,” Carter said. “It's clear that enrolling in our Electrical Lineworker Apprenticeship program is a move that will really pay off in the future.” Carter indicated that many respected companies actually require applicants to enroll in the program before they'll be considered for employment.  SGTC provides the students with the information and training experience needed to enter in this growing industry.
