About 50 sixth through eighth grade students from Macon County recently visited the campus of South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) in Americus for an opportunity to learn more about robotics and coding. The event was co-sponsored by SGTC and Middle Georgia RESA and was held in the James M. Pope Industrial Technology Center.
The Macon county students gained experience and knowledge in
coding, made scooter robots, and built various projects with snap circuits. The
students also toured the SGTC programs located in the Pope Center including Precision Machining and Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance
Technology, Electrical Systems Technology, and Drafting Technology.
