A panel of judges reviewed the completing coloring submissions, and Desirae Cooper, a horticulture student from Dry Branch, was chosen as the winner.

Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs shared that coloring has become a popular activity for people of all ages as a way to relieve stress and exercise creativity. The activity of coloring is both creative and repetitive, allowing one’s mind to get absorbed in what it’s doing and let some of those high-level cognitive functions take a break. Coloring is also wordless, which lets linguistic processes take a breather, too.

The South Georgia Technical College Office of Student Affairs offers a wide variety of activities on campus each semester to keep students engaged and provide them with the complete college experience.
