The South Georgia Technical College Student Affairs department hosted a “Happy Earth Day” event recently in honor of Earth Day.
Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs Josh Curtin and members of the Student Affairs department provided SGTC students with a free beverage with a reusable straw and an eco-friendly cup. They also shared with students how to reduce the amount of straws that end up in the oceans and landfills.
Earth Day reminds the world about the importance of environment conservation and sustainability, encouraging individuals to come together and act for a healthier planet and brighter future. It has been celebrated for over 50 years.
