SGTC Students Learn Strategies to Deal with Procrastination

South Georgia Technical College recently held a workshop for students on the Americus campus. LaKenya Johnson, Special Service Coordinator, made a presentation on how students can successfully handle procrastination.

Johnson explained that there are both helpful and harmful forms of procrastination. In the workshop, she educated students on strategies to avoid the negative impacts of procrastination and even use it to their advantage.

The student support services at South Georgia Technical College are designed to enhance students’ education and college experience to help them succeed in their career goals. Educational resources available to students include tutoring, college skills course, study skills workshops, and more.

For career development, SGTC offers career exploration, job readiness resources and workshops, and career skills training.
