South Georgia Technical College’s Spring 2020 virtual graduation ceremony will be aired live on Americus’ WISK-98.7 radio station on Thursday, May 14th at 6 p.m.  A video of the virtual ceremony will also be posted on South Georgia Technical College’s YouTube channel.  That video link will be shared on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as well as on the South Georgia Technical College website, www.southgatech.edu.

South Georgia Technical College postponed its original Spring 2020 graduation due to the Coronavirus.  All Spring 2020 graduates will be invited to participate in a face-to-face graduation ceremony later in the year when restrictions are lifted.  However, South Georgia Technical College wanted to recognize its Spring 2020 graduates in a virtual format now.

“South Georgia Technical College is proud of each and every graduate, but this group of students has overcome some very unique challenges because of the COVID19 pandemic,” said South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford.  “We are especially proud of the way they have remained steadfast in their desire to complete this chapter in their lives.  This virtual graduation is our way of honoring them even though we cannot be together in a group.  We hope to see you and your families at the December 2020 graduation ceremony.”

The college virtual graduation ceremony will offer words of encouragement from President Dr. John Watford, SGTC 2020 Goal Winner David Bush, Vice President of Academic Affairs David Kuipers, Academic Deans, and faculty and staff.
