Three South Georgia Technical College students were named to leadership positions in three of the four statewide student organizations supported by the Technical College System of Georgia, announced SGTC Director of Career Services/Student Organizations Cynthia Carter.
The four state-wide organizations recognized by the Technical College System of Georgia are: Student Government Association, National Technical Honor Society, Phi Beta Lambda, and SkillsUSA. South Georgia Tech students will be helping lead three of those four statewide organizations in the coming year.
Ashley Holland of Cordele, a medical assisting student, has been selected to serve as the Vice President of the Georgia SkillsUSA student organization, Desiray Kenney of Cordele will serve as the Reporter/Historian for the Georgia Student Government Association and Christopher Matthews was named Reporter for the National Technical Honor Society Georgia Chapter.
These three students attended training sessions highlighting servant leadership, public speaking, and leadership development for their upcoming year of service. They were placed in specific position titles in their respective organizations based on the leadership qualities showcased during the training session at Unicoi State Park recently.
