South Georgia Tech to hold graduation exercise, Thursday, December 12, 2019

South Georgia Technical College will be hosting its 2019 fall graduation exercise Thursday, December 12th at 6 p.m. in the James S. Peters Gymnasium on the Americus campus.

Brett Murray, South Georgia Technical College’s Law Enforcement Academy Director and 2019 Rick Perkins winner, is scheduled to be the guest speaker at the event.

The SGTC Law Enforcement Academy Director will address the graduates and their families, and faculty, and staff during the commencement ceremony.

Approximately 300 students will be participating in the ceremony. That will include 102 students who are receiving an associate degree and another 210 who will receive a diploma at the graduation exercise. Fifteen students have been designated as Presidential Honor Graduates with a 3.90 – 4.0 grade point average (GPA) and another 25 students will be recognized as Honor Graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.70 to 3.89.

This is the second graduation for South Georgia Technical College this year. South Georgia Technical College will have awarded nearly 500 different associate degrees or diplomas this year.
