South Georgia Technical College will begin opening the campus to employees beginning May 18th as faculty and staff transition from working remotely to returning to their offices on campus in Americus and Cordele.  The campus will remain closed to the public and to students.

“As South Georgia Technical College employees prepare to return to work, it is critical that we continue to place the highest priority on health and safety,” stated President Dr. John Watford. “Employees who are, in the opinion of their supervisor, successfully completing their work at home via telework can continue to do so,” explained Dr. Watford.  “Employees who are in one of the high risk categories will need to remain at home until June 12, 2020 or until the Shelter in Place order has expired.  All other employees will begin returning to campus utilizing flexible work hours (staggered shifts) and all employees should follow the social distancing guidelines and CDC recommended practices for safely maintaining their personal work space.”
