South Georgia Technical College has established a new procedure for students to use to return textbooks to campus during the Coronavirus outbreak and while the college campuses are closed to students.
South Georgia Technical College provides students with the use of textbooks at no cost each semester. Students check out textbooks at the beginning of the semester and return them at the end of the semester. Students who do not return textbooks will have a hold placed on their student account.
Students who need to return a book after successfully completing their Spring Semester classes can enter the South Georgia Technical College Americus or Crisp County Center campuses and contact campus safety to retrieve the textbooks.
Students should place books in the trunk of their cars prior to entering campus, place a note inside the book with the student’s name and the name of their instructor. Once the student arrives on campus, call the SGTC campus safety office. The mobile number for the Americus campus is 229-938-2992 and in Cordele, the number is 229-9942-2067.
Campus safety officers will retrieve the books from the safety of the student’s trunk and store the books until instructors return to campus.
