South Georgia Technical College’s Crisp County Center Student Government Association (SGA) helped welcome students back to class as part of a monthly What’s Poppin’ in Student Activities social event in January. The students enjoyed popcorn and tea and received the Spring Semester Student Activity Calendar. The calendar lists all the upcoming activities for the different student organizations on campus. Faith Campbell Harnum of Dooly County has joined the Resource Development/Marketing staff at South Georgia Technical College as the assistant to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement. She also will be working with the South Georgia Technical College Foundation in her new position. South Georgia Technical College’s National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), Student Government Association (SGA) and SkillsUSA members from the college’s Crisp County Center are holding a Relay for Life Raffle for a hand crafted butterfly bench. South Georgia Technical College’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Americus campus chapter had its annual Season of Giving over the holidays. PBL members collected food items, Trauma Bears, and Toys for Tots for the community. PBL’s Season of Giving is an annual series of fundraisers to help individuals in the community who are in need. The top-ranked Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association’s South Georgia Technical College Lady Jets moved up three spots into 21st in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I women’s basketball Top 25 poll released January 31st.
