High School Equivalency Classes (GED & HiSET)

South Georgia Technical College now offers multiple options for achieving your high school equivalency. Two computer-based testing (CBT) pathways are available through testing centers or proctored at home: the GED test or the HiSET exam.

To enroll in High School Equivalency classes at South Georgia Technical College, students need the following:

  • Required for 18 years or older:
    • Valid government issued photo ID
  • Required for 16 & 17 years old:
    • Valid government issued photo ID
    • Proof of withdrawal, letter of non-enrollment, or home-school affidavit
    • Underage Approval Form with guardian signature

Georgia has two High School Equivalency Testing Options. HiSET and GED
