Niceville, FL – The South Georgia Technical College Jets dropped a 93 – 78 decision to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) fifth ranked Northwest Florida State College Raiders over the weekend to fall to 4 – 10 on the season.
Northwest Florida State College is currently 17 – 1 on the season and were only up 42 – 35 over the Jets at the end of the first half of play. They outscored the Jets, 51 – 43, in the second half to coast to the 93 – 78 victory.
The Jets have five players in double-digits with sophomore guard Clark Mastin from Conyers, Georgia leading the group with 17 points. Reggie Cleveland, a freshman wing from Fort Lauderdale, FL, came off the bench to score 15 points and lead the team in rebounds with six. He also had five assists on the night.
Matt Mbole, the sophomore center from Younde, Cameroon, had 13 points on the night and four rebounds. He also had two steals and two blocked shots. Sophomore forward Marc Ferdy from Brazzaville, Congo, and Guillaume Schoentgen, a freshman wing from Laaber, Germany, closed out the double-digit scoring with 11 points each.
Marcellus Myles, a freshman guard from Thomaston, GA and Dwight Brown, a sophomore wing from Conyers, Ga, closed out the scoring for the Jets with 6 and 5 points respectively.
The Jets and the Lady Jets will begin their Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) schedule on Wednesday, January 7th when they host Central Georgia Technical College in a double-header at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the hangar.
Both the Jets and the Lady Jets have struggled in the first half of the season against some top ranked opponents but are looking to bounce back during the second half or conference part of the 2025 – 2026 season.
