The Computer Information Systems (CIS) advisory committee at South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) recently convened in the Odom Center on the Americus campus to support the continued advancement of the CIS program. This dedicated group plays a vital role in ensuring the program remains aligned with the latest industry standards by offering timely guidance and recommendations.
Veronda Cladd, SGTC’s CIS instructor, led the meeting, providing updates on recent curriculum enhancements, enrollment trends, student achievements, and community engagement efforts. Committee members shared insightful feedback, spotlighting emerging technology trends, suggesting program updates, and identifying potential internship and job placement opportunities for students. The discussion also addressed salary expectations and job readiness for graduates entering the workforce.
