Jets Booster Club feeds SGTC basketball teams for Thanksgiving
The South Georgia Technical College Jets Booster Club hosted a special Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings for the Jets and Lady Jets basketball teams recently at Central Baptist Church in Americus.

The Jets and the Lady Jets will both be participating in basketball competitions during the Thanksgiving holidays and will be unable to spend the holiday with their families.
“The Jets Booster Club wanted each of you to know that you are a part of the South Georgia Tech family and a part of our families,” said Jets Booster Club Officer Martha Arrington at the special Thanksgiving celebration recently. “We wanted you to know that we appreciate you and think that you have chosen a wonderful college and a wonderful place to continue your education while you play basketball.”
The Booster Club members and their families provided the Thanksgiving meal and visited with the players and coaches during the banquet. The Jets and the Lady Jets will be hosting Thanksgiving Basketball Classic tournaments at South Georgia Technical College on Friday through Sunday.
The Jets will host their Thanksgiving Classic Tournament on Friday November 25th and November 26th and the Lady Jets Thanksgiving Classic will be held on Saturday, November 26th and Sunday, November 27th.
The men’s Thanksgiving Class will tip-off at 12 noon Friday with Roane State taking on Chipola. East Georgia College will play Central Florida at 2 p.m. and the Jets will face St. Petersburg at 4 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, Roane State opens with St. Petersburg at 12 noon. East Georgia will play Chipola at 2 p.m. and the Jets will match-up against Central Florida at 4 p.m.
That same day, the Lady Jets will play at 6 p.m. against Motlow State and then at 8 p.m. Central Georgia Technical College will face Pensacola State. On Sunday, Central Georgia Tech will play Motlow State at 4 p.m. and the Lady Jets will take on Pensacola State at 6 p.m.
