The HEDST Associate Degree Program is a two-year program, where participants alternate between periods of class work and on-the-job work experience at the student’s sponsoring Caterpillar dealership. The John Deere TECH Program at South Georgia Technical College is specifically designed to advance the skill level of new John Deere service technicians. SGTC works with MetroPower in training welding and electrical construction workers through a cooperative education workforce development program that gives students an opportunity to earn income with MetroPower while earning a diploma at SGTC.
