Keadrick Pittman joins South Georgia Technical College as a full-time Commercial Truck Driving Instructor

   Keadrick Pittman of Americus has been hired as a new full-time Commercial Truck Driving Instructor for South Georgia Technical College effective immediately, announced South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford.  Pittman will report to SGTC Vice President of Academic Affairs Julie Partain and Academic Dean Brett Murray.

   “There is a great need for commercial truck drivers and as a result our CDL training program is growing,” explained President Watford.  “We are very fortunate to have Keadrick Pittman join our staff.  He has over eight years of driving experience and is CDL-Instructor Certified.  By adding a fourth full-time instructor, we are hoping to meet the high demand for licensed commercial truck drivers.”

    Pittman comes to South Georgia Technical College from the Georgia Driving Academy in Columbus, GA where he was working as a CDL Instructor.  He has also driven for AAA Cooper Transportation in Albany, Tripp Trucking in Macon, GA, USXpress, Tennessee, as well as for Lyle Farms in Cobb, GA; and Pepsis, in Cordele.

   As a new full-time Commercial Truck Driving Instructor for South Georgia Technical College, Pittman will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential as a Commercial Truck Driver.  He will perform all aspects of instruction for the Commercial Truck Driving Certificate program and will work primarily on the Americus campus.  Pittman is a graduate of Americus-Sumter County High School.
