SGTC Adult Ed/GED program has new location at McLain Center

South Georgia Technical College recently opened a GED (General Equivalency Diploma) lab in the McLain Center on the Americus campus. Upcoming testing dates are now available and can also be viewed at GED.com. New testing dates and locations include: April 20 – SGTC Crisp County Center Campus, 8:30-4:00 April 25 – SGTC McLain Center, 8:30-5:00 May 2 – SGTC McLain Center, 8:30-3:30 May 4 – SGTC Crisp County Center Campus, 8:30-4:00 May 6 – Saturday Testing McLain Center, 8:30-4:00 May 9 – SGTC McLain Center, 8:30-3:30 May 11 – Graduation Locations where GED classes are offered include: McLain Center in Americus, Plains Boys/Girls Club in Plains, Schley County/Ellaville City Center in Americus, Crisp County Campus in Cordele, LEARNetwork in Cordele, Marion County Family Connections in Buena Vista and Webster County Family & Youth Research Center. South Georgia Technical College invites adults to participate in free classes in each of five counties. Instructors are available to help adults prepare for the GED Test, Improve basic skills, improve basic computer skills, or study English as a second language. Students may dual enroll in select college classes along with GED classes. SGTC GED students who pass all four parts of the GED test have the opportunity to receive a $500 HOPE voucher after graduating from the program if they enroll in a credit program at South Georgia Tech.
