SGTC Crisp County Center SGA and NTHS members attend Winter Conference
South Georgia Technical College Student Government Association (SGA) and National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) members of the Crisp County Center campus recently attended the 2017 GSGA and NTHS Winter State Conference in Callaway Gardens and competed in various events.
Competition winners were Mykaula Harvey of Cordele, Business Technology student, 1st place GSGA Outstanding Student of the Year; Valerie Byron of Cordele, Business Technology student, Dontavious Harrell of Cordele, Criminal Justice Technology student, and Christian Powell of Cordele, Computer Information Systems student, 1st place NTHS Chapter of the Year (team submission); Christian Powell, 3rd place NTHS Outstanding Citizen of the Year; Maria Rivera of Vienna, Marketing Management student, was named NTHS 2017-2018 State Action Team Officer; Christian Powell was named NTHS 2017-2018 State Action Team Officer; and Joshua Chappell of Cordele, Culinary Arts student, was named GSGA 2017-2018 State Action Team Officer.
Student leaders from the 23 Technical College System of Georgia schools had the opportunity to participate in competitions, attend educational sessions designed to enhance their local chapters and campaign to become part of the GSGA and NTHS State Action Teams.
