In honor of African American History Month, the South Georgia Technical College Library has created a Library Guide for the community to learn more about Black History Month, announced SGTC Librarian John Wilson. To access the library guide visit: HOME | Sgtclibraryguide (johnwilson90.wixsite.com).
“Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history,” said SGTC Librarian John Wilson.
This guide offers various information utilizing videos, text, and online resources. The guide demonstrates how to access the genealogy database and resources online for individuals to trace their history, it shares local history and stories, important people and events in history, demonstrates how to find historical Georgia Newspaper articles, eBook Collections, Newspaper databases, Online Catalog, and how to find articles in GALLILEO.
