SGTC PBL members host a series of fundraisers to benefit March of Dimes

South Georgia Technical College’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) members recently hosted a series of fundraisers to benefit their national charity, the March of Dimes. The fundraisers included a Pop-Up Bakery Shop, a drawing for a chocolate cake, and a giving campaign. Members of PBL who are in the Culinary Arts Program prepared fresh, homemade baked goods for the Pop-Up Bakery Shop. The goods ranged in price from 50 cents to $1. Members also had a drawing to win a chocolate cake and tickets were sold for $1. During the giving campaign, PBL members collected monetary donations for the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes works to improve the health of mothers and babies by raising funds for lifesaving research and programs. The March of Dimes works to end premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality. This fundraiser gives premature babies a fighting chance at life.
