The Electronics Advisory Committee at South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) recently gathered in the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center on the Americus campus for its latest meeting. The group reviewed recent program developments and explored current trends shaping the electronics field.

Advisory committees are an essential part of SGTC’s strategy for maintaining relevant and high-quality academic offerings. During the meeting, Electronics instructor Mike Collins provided updates on student enrollment, curriculum changes, community outreach efforts, and recent student successes.

Committee members contributed valuable input on a range of topics, including advancements in electronic technologies, suggested curriculum enhancements, job training needs, and employment outlooks for graduates.

In attendance were Michael Jaskulski and Chet Ragsdale of Imerys and John Hayes of Georgia Power, alongside SGTC Academic Dean Dr. David Finley.

These industry partnerships help SGTC ensure that students graduate with up-to-date skills and knowledge aligned with current workforce demands.
