The American Red Cross will conduct a blood drive on Tuesday, June 21 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on the campus of South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) in Americus. The blood drive will be held in the Hicks Hall student union on the Americus campus, and all eligible donors are encouraged to participate. A short-term employability skills class will be taught in-person for 10 days at SGTC this summer.   Employers are continually asking for skilled workers that have the soft skills needed to succeed in the workplace.  South Georgia Technical College is responding to that request by offering a 10-day, in-person employability class that meets one hour, two or three days a week.  Classes start May 31st and June 1st on both the Americus and Crisp County campuses.
