The Drafting program advisory committee at South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) recently convened its fall semester meeting in the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center on the Americus campus. Industry professionals joined SGTC faculty and staff to discuss ongoing enhancements to the college’s drafting curriculum.
SGTC Drafting Instructor Kristie Hudson provided updates on program developments and shared key insights about current instruction and workforce alignment.
Committee members in attendance included Teresa Crawford, Engineer at Cooper Lighting; Angie Wiseman, FSC and independent sprinkler systems designer; and Carolyn Hudson, retired electrical designer from Technical Associates. SGTC representatives included Academic Dean Dr. David Finley, Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Grants Coordinator Katrice Martin, Career Services Director Cynthia Carter, and Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs Alecia Pinckney.
The advisory committee plays a crucial role in ensuring SGTC’s programs remain responsive to industry needs.
