Willie Frank Davis, Jr. joins SGTC as Facilities Manager for the Crisp County Center.

   Willie Frank Davis, Jr. of Americus has joined South Georgia Technical College as the Facilities Manager for the Crisp County Center campus, announced SGTC President Dr. John Watford.  He will report to SGTC Maintenance Director Jeff Moore, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Crisp County Center Michelle McGowan and Vice President of Operations Karen Werling.

  Davis attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton where he studied Criminal Justice before attending Georgia Southwestern state University in Americus and studying physical education. He brings over 25 years as an experienced maintenance supervisor and HVAC Specialist to his new position.

   Davis has had success leading property maintenance operations, troubleshooting complex systems, and ensuring regulatory compliance.  He is also known for delivering efficient, high-quality repairs and leading teams that consistently improve tenant satisfaction and reduce operational costs.

    Prior to joining SGTC, Davis served as the Maintenance Supervisor for Southwest Georgia United in Cordele, Georgia.  He also worked as a Property Maintenance Manager for Eastview Rentals in Americus and was a Heating & Air Technician for Parker’s Heating and Air in Americus, Georgia, for 15 years. He has a Georgia Power HVAC Troubleshooting Certification and is EPA-Certified in gauging electricity and gas and certified in safe administration of freon.

   As the Facilities Manager for the SGTC Crisp County Center, Davis will be responsible for training, assigning, directing, supervising, and evaluating the work of employees engaged in performing skilled and semi-skilled buildings and grounds maintenance and repair duties.  He will aso supervise and participate in the repair and maintenance of college buildings, college equipment and vehicles.  He will also help plan and direct renovation projects as assigned and complete carpentry projects as well as use, distribute and maintain materials, tools, and equipment.  He will also assist and over see maintaining landscaping and parking lots, respond to emergency requests for repairs and maintain records and logs of items such as time and materials expended on each work order.
