The Marketing Management advisory committee at South Georgia Technical College convened recently to review program updates and discuss trends within the marketing industry.
The committee plays a key role in helping SGTC maintain high-quality instruction and training within the Marketing Management program. Instructor Mary Cross provided updates on enrollment, curriculum developments, industry partnerships, and student success.
Advisory members contribute valuable insight regarding emerging technologies, evolving workplace expectations, internship and employment opportunities, and the skills students need to be competitive after graduation. Their feedback helps ensure that SGTC graduates are workforce-ready and aligned with current employer needs.
Committee members participating in the meeting included Harriet Glover, Store Manager for Belk in Americus; Kayla Bowens, Marketing for Innovative Senior Solutions; and Alicia Green, Sumter County High School Counselor. Representing SGTC were Academic Dean Dr. David Finley, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs Alecia Pinckney, and Grant Coordinator/Director of Institutional Effectiveness Katrice Martin.
