As a new employee of South GA Tech, you will soon be meeting with the HR Director and/or Specialist for a comprehensive orientation to discuss our various policies, procedures, and benefits. As with any new employment, there are a multitude of forms to complete. Certain forms must be completed by all new employees while others are completed based on whether you are a full-time salaried or part-time hourly paid employee.

Forms-All New Hire Employees

Full-time Employee Benefit Information/Forms

  • Eligible for Health Insurance, Flexible Benefits and will participate in one of two pension plans. Go to the following websites and review the information prior to Orientation - Employee Benefit Information Sheet

Part-time Employee Information/Forms

  • Are paid on the 15th and at the end of the month. Each segment is termed a pay period.
  • Paid a pay period in arrears. (Unless, you are Adjunct and pay can be discussed further during Orientation). Example: The time worked between the 1st and the 15th is paid at the end of the month and the time worked between the 16th and the end of the month is paid on the 15th of the following month.
  • Pay is based on the number of hours worked per week.
  • Not eligible for Flexible Benefits or the State Health Plan.
  • You will be enrolled in the Georgia Defined Contribution Plan (GDCP). Click here for more information about the plan: GDCP

However, there are certain situations in which an employee is exempt from the plan. If you do not meet any of the exemption situations, you must enroll in the GDCP.
