Description:

The Avionics Maintenance Technology diploma program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students to work in the field of avionics maintenance technology. Learning opportunities develop academic, technical and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of aircraft airframe and avionics theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Avionics Maintenance Technology diploma that qualifies them as avionics technicians and prepares them to sit for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe certification exams as well as the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and General Radio Operating License (GROL) exam.

Entrance date: Each semester

Program Admission Requirements: A High School diploma or equivalent is required plus achievement of appropriate scores on the college's placement test or submission of acceptable SAT or ACT scores.

Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.
