Programs of Study
South Georgia Technical College offers students more than 40 career pathways and over 180 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs. Depending on the program’s structure and length, students may earn a degree or diploma upon successfully completing all required courses within their chosen field of study.
To accommodate a variety of schedules, many programs offer evening and online classes, providing greater flexibility for working students and adult learners.
To be awarded an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, diploma, or Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC), students must complete all required credit hours for their program and must complete at least 25% of the coursework at South Georgia Technical College.
Visit our A–Z Degrees & Programs page for a sorted list of offerings.
Degree Programs
Our degree programs takes 18 to 24 months to complete and aim to give students the basic technical and academic knowledge and transferable skills they need to go on to employment or further study in their chosen field.
Diploma Programs
Our diploma programs vary in length, but usually require at least one year to complete. Students enrolled in diploma courses are generally interested in longer-term training than certificate students, but less than degree level.
Certificate Programs
Our certificate programs are usually one year or less in length and offer short-term training to meet specific needs and employment requirements. Certificate programs focus on practical training rather than academic coursework and are designed for students who wish to make a swift transition into the workforce.
